ReplyDeleteInsulin resistance cracks aside, one can make jokes better: "... supersized to turn your blood into syrup..." because many of us got there with immune or environmental causes, such as food poisoning. Like tech, correlation is not the same as causation.
ReplyDeleteGreat economic points in the video. For another video editing and transcoding drama video, consider.... A pre-built hardware component that takes you in the direction Facebook is going with their data center flash storage.
ReplyDelete"NVMe/PCIe Ability Flash Array’s... dual-port access to NVMe / PCIe drives providing redundant paths to the SSD."

Tunnel-bear commercials illustrate the way many of us wanted ISPs to operate all along. The large ones could provide the same protection and anonymity as integrated or add-on services, but they just don't bother. Over time, competition should help drive the trend toward more complete Internet access services.
ReplyDeleteeven I don't really understand what you're saying, I still give you a BIG LIKE for the video....
ReplyDeletelove your tech quickie , but editing sucks .........
ReplyDeleteI lived very close to that Micron plant they showed. It was a huge disappointment when it opened because they didn't provide the vast amount of jobs they said they would. Now though, 25 years later other companies (Adobe mainly), have moved in next door and that whole hillside has become quite the technology hub
ReplyDeleteThe beginning resonates with me on a terrifying level
ReplyDeletei put in a 500GB samsung into a macbook pro and it makes a huge difference.

ReplyDeleteThe nand flash modules in a SSD are kind of like many smaller SSDs running in RAID 0.
ReplyDeleteWait, so a 3.5 inch drive packed full of 3D-NAND chips, then has a connecting cable to a M.2 slot would be insanely fast? I want Royalties!
