As long as burn in isn't an issue in a short space of time, I'll like the display
ReplyDeleteMy birthday is today(26th). Shoutout maybe?
ReplyDeleteBuy all Google home and it's 100%off lol
ReplyDeleteIf it’s LCD, it should have a120 hz display
ReplyDeleteI care about brightness and color accuracy. LCD suits my needs on that and doesn’t have the flickering issue like OLED does. Although I’m waiting for MicroLED so I can have the benefits of OLED.
ReplyDeleteLG put a notch for the sake of having a notch, and not to increase the screen real estate. I mean WHAT ABOUT THAT BIG ASS CHIN YOU MORONS?
ReplyDeleteDid you really say the AMOLED display that “powers” the iPhone X?
ReplyDeleteSo Apple is begging Samsung hmmmmmm
ReplyDelete16/9 in a display and no notch:)
ReplyDelete$10 more profit for apple, dont do it samsung, you hold all of then cards.
ReplyDeleteI prefer LCD display as they last longer.
ReplyDeleteI like to use OLED display.
ReplyDeleteI agree LCD has done some amazing things, but still does not compare to OLED. I prefer OLED coming from an LCD. And the note 8 brightness in sunlight is insane! Those 1200+ nits really do show when I can clearly see everything in direct sunlight
ReplyDeleteOled with perfection
ReplyDeleteIt needs to be touch screen
ReplyDeleteI value the most that it doesn´t have a notch
ReplyDeleteI prefer LCDs. Esspecislly with how good they can get. After having OLEDs on pretty much every phone I've owned, and selling phones for years. I get to see how much they degrade. Even my S8 when I place it next to the new S8 currently being turned on. And that's not using my phone in max brightness, or navigating with it
ReplyDeleteI'm happy they're keeping the Active line going, I have the s8 Active and will not upgrade till the s10 Active @least💪
ReplyDeleteThe screen is very important to me, right up there with performance and audio quality. The touch response has to be perfect and consistent. I'll take a very good OLED, or an excellent LCD. If you don't think an LCD can be excellent, take a look at someone that has been doing it for a while. Nope, not Apple... I'm talking HTC.
ReplyDeleteI've had every iPhone since gen 2, and right now we own the iPhone 8 Plus and the HTC U11. The U11 screen is gorgeous (GSMArena agrees), and I've used it side by side with the iPhone 8 Plus and the Galaxy Note 8. The iPhone screen was not as clear or vibrant, and the Note screen was "soft" looking compared to the HTC. And yes, I know people are going to state the Apple screen is more "accurate" without actually comparing them, but when I take a photograph with the U11, the image on the screen matches the subject of the photo perfectly.
OLED will naturally have darker blacks because of the tech used, but you can get very deep blacks with some LED's... Dark enough so that it's hard to tell where the screen meets the bezel. Or notch ;)
Of course, it's odd bragging about perfectly black blacks, and ignoring the color banding issues that Samsung has.
I prefer a IPS LCD 1080p
ReplyDeleteLol after Lg failed to deliver a good quality oled panel on the Lg V30, they went back with LCD
ReplyDeleteMy birthday is on 1st May so happy
ReplyDeleteYou Made me Remember The ''Apparently'' Kid ... So Many Apparently ...
ReplyDeleteOkay....super off topic
ReplyDeleteThat shirt is AWESOME!!
Where can I get one?
OLED used to matter to me 7 years ago before IPS-LCD got better contrast. Now I just like a screen with good colors thats 1080p, any higher than that is overkill and a waste of battery to me, thats why I always use Pixoff on 2k screens.
ReplyDeleteI don't care if the G7 gets brighter it needs to get darker my G6 is super bright in dimly lit rooms unless I have battery saver on
ReplyDeleteI much prefer oled
ReplyDeleteYes, 1+6 is coming on May 17th. Play a game on Amazon India to win one😉😊
ReplyDeleteImplemintation and brightness what matters for me
ReplyDeleteAll android crap is a big joke and big nothing!!!! All copying Apple now and this is so fucked up
ReplyDeleteSize bigger the better, I prefer OLED over lcd mainly for all on display that uses little amount of battery and for deeper blacks and more vivid colours
ReplyDeleteLCD IPS still better screen for long run if you’re going to use your phone for more than a year. But LG IPS has some serious issue with image retention and hope LG fix this issue with upcoming G7 cause even G6 has this issue.
ReplyDeleteI prefer a great implementation of the screen
ReplyDeleteI look for working displays. 😀
ReplyDeleteAMOLED
ReplyDelete1440p
No notch
OLED Yes! Notch? Hell no!!! Headphone jack a must too!
ReplyDeleteOLED, LCD - Whatever works, as long as it's HD or QuadHD...
ReplyDeleteIsn't the official date for the Oneplus 6 May 16th? I've got an email from Oneplus for the OP6 event in London.
ReplyDeleteI just saw you in Bryant Park!!!
ReplyDeleteIdgaf about the display. GIVE ME STEREO SPEAKERS GODDAMNIT
ReplyDeleteI’m not that picky about phone screens. I went from a galaxy s5 to an iPhone 7plus and am happy with both screens. The galaxy screen held up better against scratches.
ReplyDeleteI NEED oled! 😅
ReplyDeleteI have a note 8 and i'm loving this amoled super duper bright screen and never had problems with it. Btw the black wallpapet is a basic
ReplyDeleteNotch? No ThanQ.
ReplyDeleteI definitely prefer the way OLED screens look - hands down. But there are some good looking LCD displays out there. Plus LCD displays are far more durable and likely to survive if the screen cracks. That combined with the fact that an LG G6 LCD replacement screen costs $70 where as an S8 OLED replacement costs $300+ (just the parts) means I'd rather have an LCD because it's much mite servicable in the even I damage the phone.
