    Wow eye tracking is already a thing, I wonder how they figured out how to get a good eye tracking system into it.

    Ive noticed this too while playing vr. Only the center is actually clear and the rest is always a bit out of focus.

    I like both the increased ease of use and the improved social interaction that eye tracking promises. However, it's the foveated rendering that excites me the most.

    Amazing VR experiences require high fidelity graphics. We can create higher resolution displays but it's almost pointless without the processing power to push so many pixels. More power equals higher cost equals lower adoption.

    Eye tracking with foveated rendering could yield greater graphical fidelity with lower overall power requirements, cost, and heat generation... all while actually improving the user experience. What's not to love?

    I think this technology will be better if the hand-on Joystick were gloves with little flexible sensor that track your motion.
