Read more: http://andauth.co/VbyChO | Gary explains what to expect from the Exynos 9810, one of the two chipsets destined to appear in the upcoming Galaxy S9 with the other being Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845.
The Exynos 9810 is a 64-bit octa-core processor built on the 10nm node, with four Cortex A55 cores for power efficiency and four of Samsung's custom high performance cores clocked at 2.9 GHz alongside an ARM Mali-G72 GPU and Category 18 LTE modem.

This guy is the PRO to the FESSOR of the BIZ to the NAZ! Quality stuff!
ReplyDeleteExynos 9810 double the cpu single core and gpu prephormance over snapdragon 835 .
ReplyDeleteBut multi core should over 12000 points for 4 core has 3700 points but its get nearly 9000 point that mean Exynos 9810 2.8 Ghz big core running in 2 Ghz for multicore to reduce heat and battery drain for 4 big core matching A11 bionic core.
So Er...can anyone explain to me why Gary is made to look like some kind of God in every thumbnail?
ReplyDeleteGary made a over 9000 joke in multithread
ReplyDeleteHe's a god to me now
They didn't underclock it per preliminary GB4 scores and Antutu. I wonder why Samsung doesn't use its own chip for all of its phones?
ReplyDeleteGary I had one question. .
ReplyDeleteWhy mali GPU has more performance per Gflops than imagination and Adreno GPU ????
And if you could make a video for that .
when will you compare both Exynos and Qualcomm chips?S9 already released now.waiting for next comparison.
ReplyDeleteWhy so late Samsung
ReplyDeleteSamsung is incredible in displays, chipsets and before pixel cameras .
ReplyDeleteYour calculations are really close to what geekbench had shown us but even though it is no way near the raw cpu performance of A11 some guys tested both processor in most of the time 9810 is 2 times slower
ReplyDeleteSamsung restricting the potential of their own product is one of the rubbish Samsung does undermining their own promotion and popularity!
ReplyDeleteexynoss is suck while play emulator game
ReplyDeleteJust a quick question. Why does Samsung flagships with different SoCs (Exynos and Snapdragon variants) have the same prices? Shouldn't it be that Samsung phones using Exynos variants should be cheaper since they're using their own chip? You know, like Huawei uses their own chip in Kirin hence its cheaper. Some say because Samsung has partnership with Qualcomm that's why they have discounted prices. Is that true?
ReplyDeleteI’m so glad that I have A11 Bionic lol
ReplyDeleteAt least for Note 8 and S8/+ users theres a camera patch on XDA that enables 1440p 60fps recording on both front and rear cameras.
ReplyDeleteThanks Gary
ReplyDeleteJust read galaxy s9 review on anandtech (exynos and snapdragon versions). As things are now the only place where Exynos shines is geekbench. Anywhere else it's a total disaster(at least for now) and the power draw and battery life is not good at all. TBH even sd845 turned out to be not as good as I hoped but exynos variant has no clear advantage at all.
ReplyDeleteSo can I root phone and overclock Exynos so it works at its full power?
ReplyDeleteKryo or kyro?
ReplyDeleteThis guy should be a professor at a university.
ReplyDeleteWhy make a different processor like 9810 and then downgrade it manually to 845 ? They can directly use 845 across all models just like other OEMs .. don't understand the point here .
ReplyDeleteHey Gary, thank you for your great videos. I have a question for you on the topic of this video. You may have seen the very low scores of exynos 9810 in pcmark benchmark. How do you interpret the fact that such scores are comparable to last year's 8995? In your opinion, why such small performance increment? Thank you!
ReplyDeletecan it run gta 5?
ReplyDeleteGreat gary
ReplyDeleteLove your explanations
