ReplyDelete2:08 maybe talking about calibration integrated in some (good) sytems would have helped to moderate the statement about classical surround. The Audissey system is improving the result based on the user's configuration and distance to the speakers and the possibilities of the speakers too.
ReplyDeletewhen will the WAN show hoody be back in the store? i so need one of those!
ReplyDeleteYawn inducing crap.
ReplyDeleteThis is the so-called modern day equivalent of Dolby Stereo Digital/Dolby Stereo Digital Spectral Recording/Dolby Surround AC-3 Digital/Dolby Digital vs. The Digital Experience/DTS Digital Sound.
ReplyDeleteI really can't tell the difference between Dolby Atmos on and Dolby Atmos off on my S9+ D:
ReplyDeletethis is better, a clear message and without that childish humor. thanks.

ReplyDeleteIf you have 2 ears and wear headphones wouldn't the headphone simulate 3d sound objects ?
ReplyDelete0:20 really, the air conditioning unit is part of the surround system? lol ;D
ReplyDeleteI Watched this in atmos
ReplyDeleteDon’t they also use time delay?
ReplyDeleteLuke, you are awesome
ReplyDeletethey wasted 2 channels when making 7.1 surround... those should have been up and down speakers... i played with 3D sounds in games since 2005 and others might have done it way before! the only REAL missing channels were up and down! center and 4 speakers plus Sub is quite capable if you know how to set your volumes and angles! first thing to watch for is phase cancellation and then frequency response! since you could have 4 "12 inch" and a "15 inch" Sub case OR 4 "4 inch" and not have bass from them! in games you had perfect 3D sound! they just took that and put it in films!
ReplyDeleteHorrible voice. Very fatiguing to listen too!
ReplyDeleteI tried the Atmos demo with my HD515's whilst playing through ME Andromeda. It was noticeably different and I found the experience rewarding. It gives you a deeper spatial sound experience. I found it really noticeable and enjoyable at times and I think it's a good investment. I would have liked to and perhaps should have tried it on more games to see if the sound differences were noticeable on more titles. I only have Stereo headphones and can't comment on 5.1 or 7.1 systems.
ReplyDeleteCome at me, Bro! (from 118 angles)
