  1. How about a phone with call quality sooooo good, its like the person is directly speaking into your ear.

  2. I agree that we've hit a certain point, but that doesn't necessarily mean smartphones have peaked. I think when you look at most consumer electronics (phones, tablets, computers) they've all kind of hit that point. However, that just means there just needs ot be another "mini-revolution" in the computer world, and we've seen it with the development of tablets and 2-in-1s. Tablets are almost obsolete at this point. In 2013-2014 when that market opened up, phone screens were 4-5 inches. Now we're dipping in to 6"+ territory. My Xiaomi Mi Mix is 6.4" and makes my 8" tablet almost meaningless. With Samsung foldable phone coming out, Huawei, Samsung, HP (now failed) desktop experience, we're starting to see the melding of various computers and peripherals. It won't be long before we have one device that just connects to different display sizes.

  3. I hope in the near future, phones will have holographic display. That will revolutionise smart phones. Oh and long lasting batteries.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I will only change when I get a device that can truly become my life, just the interface of it. It's hard for me to give a phone features i need. Unless we get to customise the hardware and software by choice, then there isn't much of a choice of freedom, but endless jail options. So I'm saying don't give us 3 lenses because we might like the better quality, but let us choose as many lenses as we can fit. Can a phone get that personal like a Rolls Royce purchase for the mass market? Maybe that's the next level, all together along with the dreams of becoming the Iron Man age :D

  5. AR is the next race it opens many possibilities that will justify spending.

  6. My phone is not so good but I want to run it a year phone letv 2

  7. I don't see a point in investing a lot of money in a smartphone right now, especially with the 5G right around the corner, and all those $1000 don't have the processor to support it, Qualcomm is rumored to release a new snapdragon with 5G support, and the first project one phone to have that feature or maybe the pixel 3... We'll have to see, for now I'm getting all I need with my Xperia X.
Running PUBG smoothly 23mp on the rear and 13 on the front 3gb ram and 32gb of storage, rocking this baby since 2016

  8. My gosh...I've been saying that for years.
The smartphone industry is boring as fuck.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I gave up my smartphone last year... I doubt I will ever go back. I don’t need to be “connected” all the time.

  10. I actually bought a new phone (seems like I found the last one in this color, blue-grey) that came out more than a year ago because I love the lit navigation buttons, l love the metallic blue-grey color, the 5.7 inch screen the headphone jack, the fact that it doesn't have the weird modern aspect ratio and the great camera. It's the Asus Zenfone 3 5.7 Deluxe. Sometimes companies really aren't paying attention to what the public really wants...

  12. I need a new phone I think you should send me one lol

  13. I am a big advocate of upgrading every two years to a two year old model. generally no more than $300 and I feel like I am missing out on nothing

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hey unbox any comment on how the smart phone sector is affecting our environment?

    ReplyDelete
  15. I’m very satisfied with my IPhone 6S and I’m not planning to switch any time soon.

    ReplyDelete
  16. After getting flagships every 2 years since 2012, I realized what's the point. After my iPhone 6s kicked the bucket earlier this year, I just got a mid range Huawei Nova 2i. It performs just as good as my older flagships. 6S, SGS5.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Still using my nexus 5 (got it for 300$ ) top notch specs back then . No stutters so far .

    ReplyDelete
  18. The novelty is gone, all an average person needs or wants is a smart phone which works and does the basic stuff therefore they dont have any desire to upgrade every year, why would you when your old one works well enough?

    ReplyDelete
  19. i agree with your arguments about smartphone industry and near future..

yes, many youtubers, reviewer, and bunch of people in middle upper class like you and a many of us youtube people still care about flagship phone.

But remember the piramid, middle and lower class is HUGE, also people that dont care too much about tech (smartphone), because most of smartphone now can do anything and fullfil everyone’s need.

like on my case, i use iphone 7 for my main phone, and 150$ xiaomi for my secondary phone. Clearly iphone is lot superior than 150$ xiaomi, but in case i forgot my iphone and use my xiaomi is fine, i still can do anything on my xiaomi.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Changing phones regularly is a thing for the rich countries. Me and the majority of the people I know only buy I new smartphone when the old one dies, no matter what cool new technologies may rise

    ReplyDelete
  21. The fact a flagship phone costs 1000 dollars or even a decent new one is 600 bucks is the reason why I wont be upgrading any time soon

    ReplyDelete
  22. Come on Lou - you know were all just waiting for the synaptics on screen fingerprint sensor to hit retail - Mate 10 R$ and Vivo are not mainstream in US - the manufacturers are in the lab right now - no bezel on screen fingerprint reader devices are hitting in the 3rd quarter - then its on @AO

    ReplyDelete
  23. I think smartphones should become more similar to PC's in a way that makes phones more modular. There are few out there that sort of do this, but we say we carry around computers in our pockets while we can't even change the battery in newer phones without voiding warranty. I think creating a phone with removable everything could be what we need.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'm set up just fine my OnePlus 5T. Has everything I need, it's modern, looks nice, powerful, and half the price of comparable phones. I'll be using this phone for a few years and won't need an upgrade for a while.

    ReplyDelete
  25. JUST MAKE A PHONE THAT DOESN'T BREAK

    ReplyDelete
  26. Note 5 here. Still extremely snappy and does everything I need it to, though at one point I had issues where GearVR would try to boot and black screen. That nearly drove me to upgrade but right when I was about to buy the S8+ it started being normal. Will I upgrade soon? Only if the price is right or I absolutely need to.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'm getting rid of my galaxy note 5 for the oukitel z10 as its better all round, better battery, display, space and etc for a cheaper price. I don't upgrade my phone every year cause I don't see why. All smart phones are generally the same now.

    ReplyDelete
  28. 5g tech w/ big ass battery. I don't give a damn about the thickness: slim phones are for pretty people.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Watching this on my galaxy S6 edge.. Never felt the need to update. I also think the cost is way to high for the new flagships. Will use my S6 as long as I can

    ReplyDelete
  30. Thank God for this decline in sales. I hope this leads to a decrease in smartphone prices due to a lower demand. When prices reached around and upwards of $1000 / phone that was too much... I'd be more inclined to buy a phone each year if the prices were more affordable.

    ReplyDelete
  31. unusual kind of vidio and so true i like it keep up the good job.

    ReplyDelete
  32. i'd want more, more and more snappiness

    ReplyDelete
  33. I currently own a google nexus 6, I'm happy with it. Bought from a friend 2 years ago for $200. The only downside to this phone is the degrading battery and sub-par camera. When will I upgrade? When I know the phone i'm getting is a good deal, Because that's what I look for. The most "bang for your buck" deal.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I had an iphone 4 till I bought an iphone 6s+ for $300 6months ago. I don’t connect with people on the smartphone craze what so ever.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Honesty I, as a graphics whore and gamer, would have to see major upgrades to more momory, higher quality graphics, all paired with an edge to edge display.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Nothing happens in this video, there is no reason to do this many cuts. I know it's weird to just let a take go, but you don't need to zoom in to emphasis nothing, and then zoom out to also emphasis nothing. Just let that shit roll dude.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I have a Galaxy S7, but the last time I broke a case, I switched back to my good old Galaxy S4 and you know what? I was enjoying it enough that I grabbed a new battery for it and I don't know if I want to switch back.

    ReplyDelete
