ReplyDeleteDoes the script affect bootcamp egpu recognition?
ReplyDeleteNo 2:1 aspect ratio?
ReplyDeleteI'm currently putting together an iMac build with the Mantiz Venus eGPU and a GTX 1080 FTW Hybrid. I will be unboxing and documenting it on my channel if you're interested!
ReplyDeleteAlthough its not new to me, because I closely monitor egpu.io community for quite a while and already aware of this thing, but I still would like to say thank you, 9to5Mac, for bringing such exciting news to a wider population!
ReplyDeleteYASSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately people like myself, who are too lazy and stupid to figure this out, will have to wait and hope for official support.
ReplyDeleteDo machine learning libraries recognise and use the eGPU?
ReplyDeletethe 1050 beats the rx580 lol
ReplyDeleteJust subscribed to you because I think about my MBP13" 2k17 upgrade and you provided me with all decent information before buying anything :) Just a simple question. Is it worth now to get RX580 bundle officialy supported or wait for nVidia official support and get 1070 in bundle? I wanted mostly to run 3 screen development platform (I am mobile developer), and maybe run some games like CS:GO, World of Tanks. Thanks in advance.
ReplyDeleteyour title sounds like this unofficial support just dropped, however, this script came out long long long time ago...
ReplyDeleteThis looks and sounds like MS windows....any bred. I bought a Mac to plug stuff in and use it. Only buy anything when it is for sale in the Apple Shop. Ie the thing works.
ReplyDeleteDose anybody know if this would work with MacBook Air Mid 2011?
ReplyDeleteWhy not just use a computer laptop is spose to be portable not to use a pc graphics card
ReplyDeletePlzz make video about the external SSD to upgrade the storage

ReplyDeleteCan I use Display Port 1.4 to drive Dell HDR display?
ReplyDeleteReally interesting! Soon I will try to do this on my MacBook Pro 2015 whit Thunderbolt 2
ReplyDeleteCouldn't deal with the lack of official Nvidia support anymore, switched from a GTX1080 to a Vega56.
ReplyDeleteThe MacBook Pro has the best display on the market, but the eGpu uses a external display :(
ReplyDeletehi, so I was wondering if you could help me with you expert suggestion about which egpu I should get for MBP 2017 RX560 model. pricewise aorus gaming box 1080 seemed like a fair choice, but im not sure if that would help me. I don't game much but I would like to be able to 3D render on both mac and boot camp, using vray mostly.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if you see every question people throw at you, but I didn't have a better idea about how to solve this matter. thank you, Jeff. your videos on egpus are very informative and provides a clear idea about it's potential.
