Lol Of course. That's why no professional business shows up to events with iPhones to capture the moment.

I just pulled out a camcorder I bought like 6 years ago & the camera quality is 20xs better than my phones. My phones 1080p at 30fps looks like 480p in comparison. The camcorders 720p at 60 fps looks better than my phones 1080p.

Digital cameras can do ALOT more and the more you know about it, the more decent photos you can take with it. Phone cameras are good enough for most people who doesnt play around with DSLR, Bridge or any other cameras.

The large size of the image sensor puts DSLR cameras head and shoulders over any phone camera.

For snapshots (which is the only form of photography most non professional photographers do) cameras are not worth buying. If the camera is always set to fully automatic then using a dslr or a compact is pointless. Stick with smartphones. This channel is all fluff topics, garbage videos.

You are conveniently jumping between point-and-shoots and pro-sumer/pro cameras. I’m a big fan of A6xx series but I feel some of your points are not accurate..

I still have a camcorder that bring along during trips and use a lot. I take a lot of videos and rather not waste my smartphone battery on them (since it does, you know everything else). My camcorder holds a large battery (8-10 hours of recording).

However I don’t usually use the camcorder for everyday life, the smartphone is usually good enough for that for the most part. Only if I’m going to an event where video is important I will bring it (and maybe a tripod if needed). System works well for me.

There's this professional camera that is cheaper than the IPhone and can zoom all the way to the moon and still get a clear image

Phone cameras have improved drastically but cameras give you more control - for me the issue is portability- a camera that sits at home is useless

in less then half a year. The Samsung S9 Plus allows you to change the aperture (two setting tho) and shutter speed.

I think Cameras are going the same way as PC's, Pointlessly expensive for the average person, but a 100 X better for enthusiasts.
