I know people who walk around with their NFC GPS data WiFi and Bluetooth on all at once and wonder why their battery life isn't as good as advertised
ReplyDeletein all honestly, I use Android and iOS since I bounce between phones. that being said, this is a good video for an iOS user who may be considering making a switch.
ReplyDelete👍🏻 👍🏻 👍🏻 👍🏻 👍🏻
ReplyDeleteLove these type of videos
ReplyDeleteSwitched from Android to iOS and can keep WiFi and Bluetooth on 24/7. Little to no battery drain. Completely different story on Android.
ReplyDeletegreat video.. bro
ReplyDeleteLet me get this straight. Your "shortcut" to YouTube is "Down, down, left tap." Do you know you can put a YouTube icon on your Home Screen and just "Tap?"
ReplyDeleteI am still using ice cream sandwich
ReplyDeleteI don't know if you knew or not, but you can also use "what's on my screen" when in your camera app. I've used this when browsing Netflix on my smart TV to find more info about a title I'm considering watching or if I have a letter or something with information in it that I want to search. Just have the camera app open with whatever you want to search in view and activate Google Assistant. There has to be words in view for it to work. It's something pretty cool that I found handy!
ReplyDeleteI'm still running Symbian
ReplyDeleteThanks
ReplyDeleteGreat tips! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat video! Lots of good tips for a new Droid user. Long time IOS and now I'm done!
ReplyDeleteSo excited to get my pixel 2!!!
ReplyDeletemy s7 doesn't have trusted face
ReplyDelete:(
"face unlock isn't as good as the iphone 10" What's funny about that statement is the iphone 10 facial recognition actually fucking sucks.
ReplyDeleteGood video, Tim! I will employ some of these ideas.
ReplyDeleteI love your videos, how clean they are!
ReplyDeleteSo basically disable everything if you want good battery and performance. Also that pixel looks like a $300 phone
ReplyDeleteI'm still on Android 6.0.1 Marshmellow.
ReplyDeleteI've been a Android user for many years, and I learned a couple of things today 😀 Thanks Tim👍🏼
ReplyDeleteI recently bought a pixel coming from iOS. I learned a lot from this video. Thank you so much, really happy with my decision to switch to the pixel.
ReplyDeletethe reason i have subscribed to you was your geeky look at things. I'd like to see some more tips or review of custom things like viper4android or ogyoutube
ReplyDeleteDoes it consume more battery on face unlock?
ReplyDeleteAndroid tip: just dont buy it... haha..cheap cheap joke... i know!!
ReplyDeleteDo a give away plz
ReplyDeleteeclair because it's sweetest of them all. j/k
ReplyDeletealso make video how to switch from iPhone to Android - thats very popular question on various reddits
Thx nice tips
ReplyDeleteYou should have added about that you dont need to clear recent apps. Everyone does it, and it only makes their phones reload apps :P
ReplyDeleteYou have your GPS on during this video. That's one of the biggest battery hogs on Android. Good video besides that
ReplyDeleteRedmi 5 review pls
ReplyDeleteIn another video, you should show how to use app pinning
ReplyDeleteCan you do a video on the OnePlus 5 Oreo update please
ReplyDeleteYou must supersonic vision to see those tiny icons on your mostly blank home screen.
ReplyDeleteGood tips. This is completely random, but you sound like Paul Ryan. I had to do a double take.
ReplyDeletewhat's on my screen info. was awesome.. I'm sure many may still not be aware of it..

ReplyDeleteI’m on nougat and I can unlock my phone with my voice
ReplyDeleteTurning off wifi to save battery is false. Because when it's off, then it'll constantly be searching for signal/using signal. Keeping wifi on will have better battery life.
ReplyDeleteHi been a big fan of your work ever since I got my first smartphone back in 2011. Just wanted to know if there was a specific reason you stopped doing unlock and root videos? You used to a lot on pretty much most of the popular phones that was out, just wondering if you are against rooting now? Thanks for all the hard work especially with the phone reviews helps me out every year.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Tim, I'm going to go ahead and ask you to do more of these. Greeeaaaaaaaaat......
ReplyDeleteWill it work on MI phones?
ReplyDeleteElated to hear this Tim ! :-)
ReplyDeleteNow have Nexus 6p, on 8.1.0, so am particularly fond of Android.... It's really refreshing to see tips & tricks of a non proprietary nature that I can use on MY phone !
Please keep them coming 😊.
I'm looking forward to the Pixel 3XL, praying for the absence of a notch 😝!
Hope you had a Happy Easter ^_^.
