The Society of Automotive Engineers uses six different levels to describe the extent to which a car is "self-driving" - but what's the point of this system, and what are the differences between the levels?

If you got mark Zuckerberg to dive your car would it be autonomous
ReplyDeleteI'de watch a video on the ethics behind self driving cars.
ReplyDeleteGo for AI video.
ReplyDeleteI would never get in a car that does not let me override the AIs decisions.
ReplyDeleteyes, part 2 on AI please
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought the electric start engine was kind of self driving :o
ReplyDeleteWish I had that on my car :p
How does the ai work in self driving cars??
ReplyDeleteWhy does that have to even be a question? Of course we do.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't want to watch an explanatory video about AI then why are you even watching this channel?
ReplyDeleteRemember when they tried to make it illegal to repair your own vehicle?
ReplyDeleteDefinitely want to see a video about hiw various self driving features work!
ReplyDeleteHey Linus! I would definitely like to see a video explaining the workings of this type of AI.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your hard work,
Richard
No mention of Tesla whatsoever.
ReplyDelete+1 Dislike
just bought a brand new GTI, level 0 for Life!
ReplyDeleteWe need an AI video!
ReplyDeletelevel 5 no thank you i'll just take a train.
ReplyDeleteNvidia making cars? The glass maybe will have a Hud or a pc gamer inside of itself

ReplyDeletecan u please elaborate on how you are running 4 different os on single monitor
ReplyDeleteI want what you said at 6:07 Linus.
ReplyDeleteLinus you suck Where da hell is VOLVO AUTONOMOUS Drive (Intellisafe system) 😠
ReplyDeleteYes. Would like to see a video on how the AI inside these cars work.
ReplyDeletei'd like self walking shoes.... or a self sleeping bed..
ReplyDeleteif only the government could make a mass recall happen on cars and set up a system that communicates with all cars so that every car knows where the next car is so no wrecks will happen and it would be very efficient
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that with self driving and regular cars on the road you’re still gona have accidents (the randomness of human driving can’t be calculated indefinitely by a car) but with only lvl 5 cars on the road you might see a large decrease in accidents each year. Obviously were years from that but it’s cool to think about
ReplyDeleteMy car has lane assist radar cruise control, auto braking if u get too close, lane change auto follow front car and self park, I guess it’s lv 2
ReplyDeleteMy mum's Mercedes is a level 3 autonomous feauters
ReplyDeleteThis is the best detailed video Self Driving Car video I've ever seen from you Linus! Awesome informative video!
ReplyDeleteI really want to get a car now... because I'm 12 and when I get 18 (to have driver license) there won't be many cars that I will be able to drive, like look at Renault and Tesla alredy, at the moment some other company is probably working on some automated vehicle. ITS TIME TO STOP 😂😂😂
ReplyDeleteYou forgot Tesla cars
ReplyDeleteAll i care is who gets the blame when things happens?
ReplyDeleteOo complex algorithm fun that's always nice to watch - where they are probs programmed with priorities and the ai chooses which path has the least compromises in the list (which each priority is given a value) but that's probs my concept on the idea of the algorithm used by the ai - I bet that's too basic and the engineers use a much more complex algorithm to determine the best route of action
ReplyDeleteWell shit, my nightmare is getting real because the cars are getting autonomous! Which is bad for car guys like myself😭
ReplyDeleteAM I late to say yes , please , tell us more about the AI controlling these lvl5 cars ? :D
ReplyDeleteI need help my computer need fix i use it normally when i turn off and leave it 10 minit when i turn On again it say Reboot and select proper device and i only got 1 booy device i tried many fix on youtube but i dont have Window 7 install and easy recovery essicantial please help
ReplyDeleteSorry for bad english
Level 5 is the definition of general artificial intelligence. It would have to cope with verbal and nonverbal commands from police officers and construction workers, make ethical judgements about fairness and risk, and be ready for situations no one has ever anticipated for it, or have even occurred before.
ReplyDeleteYes We want to see the video for A.I.
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice video. Too bad for me that it's a year after I finished my thesis work for school about "transportation with alternative (renewable) energies". It the content of this video probably would have been a great addition to my sections about electronic cars and Tesla. But at least I was able to use your videos about batteries and such.
ReplyDeleteKeep on making great content like that!
(the video about the AI in a self-driving car would be cool!)
Is that a dragon inside the car at 5:24 ?
ReplyDeletenvidia car gonna be called: nVidmobile 9080
ReplyDeleteand the next gen: nVidmobile 9080ti
You forgot Level 6. The car is fully auto but has a means to retaliate douche bags on the road with agressive force.
ReplyDeleteIt'd be great to know about AI in self driving car!
ReplyDeleteIt's simple. The faster it goes, the smarter it gets.
